Worth & Keighley Valley Railway

Booking Website Had a great day at Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.  Started at Haworth ( Bronte country) The staff were so helpful & friendly. 2 wheelchairs permitted in assigned cab.  Off at Keighley for pics & munch .  As carriage cafe on tbe platform was inaccessible the staff made sure it was brought to us in front of a coal fire . National Railway Museum York

National Raliway Museum Visit  Leeman Road York YO26 4XJ https://www.railwaymuseum.org.uk/   We visited on 20.02.18. I travelled there by train from Huddersfield.   There were alternative stations, but a lot more city trains travel through this one than the alternative, which was Halifax.     City trains have a much better layout for wheelchair users. Local trains can be hard work, especially at peak times much more smaller wheelchair bays, lots of commuters etc.     I didn’t book assistance in advance although it is recommended.   The staff were very helpful & ensured the ramp was deployed safely both on and off the train.                                                   Here there is something for everyone .I found there  is  a variety different displays, the lift going up to the gallery is very interesting with all the different displays to view. They have staff to help with enquiries. .I found them very helpful when i enquired with one or two
