Performing Arts Band Stand & Flower Garden
  • Band Stand and Flower Garden

This is the flower garden which has a performing arts band stand is well maintained and accessible I had a lovely great day out strolling around looking at the beautiful flowers and their bright colours which  I find it so calming and relaxing. A lot of  bees, butterflies etc. Oh yes and I cant forget the fact about my camera going around taking lots of pictures. I really enjoyed my day out in such a beautiful park and the views are breath taking, all thanks to the Green Flag District for all the hard work they do to maintain this park.🌝🌝
A copper coin globe Tour de France sculpture
by Craig Dyson

  • Copper Coin Globe:
A very impressive copper coin globe. When I saw this I was intrigued as from far all I saw was a big round ball thinking what is that? and yes I definitely went closer to find out and all I saw were a lot of 2 pence coins put together making this sculpture which I was like wow that is an awesome piece of art I was impressed.

Craig Dyson spent several months grafting to get the artwork finished in time for the Grand Depart passing through the village. He collected thousands of two-pence coins from the local people and has worked through the night and weekends to weld them together to create the sphere. He applied for a grant from welcome to Yorkshire to make the sculpture as an official Tour de France art project. When that was unsuccessful he started an internet appeal for the community funding, as well as asking local people to donate more than 10,000 Two-Pence Coins. (taken from the telegraph)
Bronte Rocks

  • Bronte Village Rocks:

A cute gorgeous sand box with rocks made for the children to play in and as you can see they all have been painted with their own unique designs. The rocks are hidden all over the park, village and surrounding  areas in Haworth. The game is to find them, take a picture of it and upload to Bronte Rocks Facebook page and then re-hide it. So why not join in and design your own rocks and then hide them for somebody else to find. There will be clues posted on the face book page. Enjoy and have fun.

Wing sculpture in memorial garden
by Craig Dyson

  • Wing Sculpture:
Yet another great idea of a wing sculpture in the memorial gardens made by a local artist Mr Dyson.
This stainless steel artwork sculpture is "The Meet" and represents a wing. It is designed so engraved padlocks can be fitted in the memory of loved ones.

"Revealing the thinking behind his sculpture, Mr Dyson, who lives in Haworth said: "The name 'The Meet' suggests a collection of memories and moments coming together to create a communal artwork. This sculpture took over one year to create and it represents a wing, both angelic and bird like". (taken from Keighley news)
